It's time for a break

I always intended to get away for a while during this treatment, its been tough both physically and mentally and I think it is time for a break.

On Sunday, we are going to a Welsh seaside village called Criccieth. My Mum grew up there and I have many happy childhood memories of holidays there, playing on the beach, walking the dogs, riding my bike...all the things a young girl does with her family.

Its a great place to just relax and unwind. The picture I have attached is more or less the view we have from where we stay.

I am so looking forward to the fresh air, reading a book or two, spending time with my Other Half and visiting my Granny who will be 90 this year.

Do you know what else I will be doing?........

Trying to grow a baby. Of my 4 eggs 2 were suitable for ICSI. 100% fertilisation....I cried (happy) buckets. Transferring 2 embies at 8 a.m. tomorrow.....gobsmacked.

Back next weekend x

I'm so sorry that you didn't get better news. Remember its quality over quantity. But I know that is disappointing. I've had many cycles where I didn't end up with that many embies and I always balled my eyes out. I know it feels better knowing you have more but there is a great chance the two will thrive and you will have two great embies to transfer.. :) :)

Glad you are taking a break. Have a grea time.. :) :) I'll be thinking of you..! Good luck with your transfer.

Way to go Becks. Two fertilised eggs and some Welsh air. It sounds pretty good.

My granny is 90 this year too. Are you throwing a party? Mine has made it clear she'd like one but I've no idea what goes on at a 90th birthday party! Any tips will be welcomed.

Good luck tomorrow.

Should I be worried? I was over the moon that I had 2 out of 4 - I really was expecting nothing.

I cried because I was happy not sad. Oh, not sure if if I am being unrealistic now. Any thoughts?

P.S. As to being worried... you have two embryos to transfer-- that is terrific. Some couples like to have extra embryos to freeze. No need to worry. Good Luck!

EXCELLENT NEWS!!! Yay, enjoy your 2 week wait and the holiday will be a nice way to take your mind off it a bit. Holding thumbs for you sooooo much! x

What a beautiful view.
Why wouldn't the embryo's want to stay around for that?

Two to transfer is SOOO much better than you were expecting, and exactly the right number for most RE's transfer rates, so you are right on target!!!

Have a good holiday, and grow embies grow!
